arrange for the continuation of such of the Defence Regulations as are required by Proclamation, the provisions of thie Proclamation then being included in those referred to in paragraph 3 above. For you guidance a schedule of Malayan Defence Regulations which it le proposed to continue will be telegraphed to you as soon as it has been completed.

5. Reference to "Ordinance" in paragraph 3 or Savingram No.28 of the 25th February was made in ignorance of circular notes of 30th January and 3rd of March referred to in paragraph ij.

6. An Ordinance may also be required enabling the Military Tribunale to continue to function after restoration of Civil Government for the purpose of completing casee which are pending and to provide that committel to Military Courts shall be treated as committal to the Supreme Court.

It is assumed that furisdiction to try Froclanation offences will be given in the Ordinance continuing the provisions of certain Proclamations.
